Credentialing is becoming increasingly important to the individuals and organizations who hire coaches.

According to our 2019 and 2021 membership surveys, about half of ICF-Nebraska members hold an ICF credential of ACC, PCC, or MCC, with an additional 33% working toward an ICF credential.

ICF credential holders, according to ICF, “are part of a self-regulating group of elite coaches who provide accountability to clients and the coaching profession as a whole. They pursue and complete rigorous education and practice requirements that provide unquestioned legitimacy to their commitment to excellence in coaching.”

How can ICF-Nebraska help you?

If you’re looking for support with ICF credentialing, we can help!

Resources from ICF Global

The ICF Credentials and Standards team has created a helpful, pre-recorded credentialing informational video for you to view at your convenience, along with a series of quarterly Q&A calls to answer all your follow-up questions. To register for an upcoming Q&A call, visit their website. Search Google for the current year’s registration page, for example: 2022 quarterly credentialing call site:coachingfederation.org.

Navigating the process

With about 50% of our membership holding an ICF credential, many of our members are able and willing to support you in your process by answering your questions. We encourage you to attend one of our events and reach out to the group online with questions.

Mentor coaching

Some of our members also provide individual and group mentor coaching, one of the requirements for certification. As a member, you can find out who’s currently offering such programs by attending a chapter meeting or reaching out via one of our online forums.

Small groups

Members have repeatedly expressed interest in forming small groups for a variety of purposes, such as peer coaching, masterminds, and general support. Again, we encourage you to engage with the group, ask for what you want, and see what we can create together!
